Morson is a principal supplier of track resources to Transport for London, with teams working around the clock to deliver essential maintenance, upgrade, and enhancement projects across the capital’s transport network.

We know that success comes from hiring great people - and we’re now looking for a dedicated Night Works Controller to join our growing Track Access and Protection department.

The Role

As a Night Works Controller, you’ll play a crucial supervisory role at the heart of our operations. Using your safety-critical knowledge and experience, you’ll help manage our track protection services, ensuring smooth, consistent, and reliable delivery for our clients.

You’ll work collaboratively with a wide range of teams and partners, including London Underground, Rail for London (Elizabeth Line), Network Rail, and contractors delivering vital infrastructure works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Management – Ensure consistent and reliable delivery of services to our clients
  • Workforce Supervision – Oversee the night workforce, ensuring compliance with all rules, regulations, and statutory requirements. Provide support, information, and guidance when needed
  • Collaboration – Work closely with Resource Planners, administration teams, supervisors, client management, and external authorities to minimise disruptions and optimise service delivery
  • Emergency Response – Take the lead during incidents and emergencies, ensuring a safe and effective response

What We’re Looking For

  • Currently holds a valid and in-date PWT-EH qualification for at least 5 years
  • Proven rail experience in a safety-critical environment
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities
  • Calm and decisive under pressure, particularly in emergencies
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across the rail industry
