Security Administrator

We are looking Security Administrator to join our MOD team in Yeovil. This person plays a significant part in ensuring that all temporary and permanent MOD workers are security cleared. This is a busy fast paced team that liaise with the client and candidates over telephone and email on a regular basis. This would suit someone who has a good level of administration and excel experience who is also able to liaise with people on varying levels.

The applicant is required to work full time 08.45 to 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.45 to 16.30 Friday and will be located within the Security Department at Dolphin House, Yeovil, Somerset.

 

Qualifications

Computer literate with good working knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Excel

Skills

  • Experience in Databases
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • A good telephone manner
  • Able to liaise with individuals at all levels
  • Able to prioritise workload and be able to work under pressure
  • Able to work in a confidential environment and show complete discretion at all times
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Adaptable and willing to learn new processes

Tasks to be undertaken:

  • Prepare and send out security paperwork to new and existing employees and sub-contractors
  • On receipt of completed documents, review for completeness and legibility to work in the UK
  • Obtain references
  • Add to database and spreadsheets
  • Prioritising and organizing the day to day workload whilst maintaining personnel confidentiality
  • Liaise with clients at all levels, recruiters and candidates
  • Filing
  • Compile reports as requested
